Reporting Absence
To report and absence, please contact our attendance office at pinehollowattend@mdusd.org or (925) 682-8000 x7986 and let us know the following information:
- Student First and Last Name
- Parent First and Last Name
- Parent Phone Number
- Date of Absence
- Reason for Absence
Valid Excuses for Absences
Per California Education Code 48205 and Mt. Diablo Unified School District Board Policy and Administrative Regulation 5113, the below are valid reasons for an absence to be excused.
Excused Absences*:
- Illness or injury of the student
- Medical, dental, optometrical, or chiropractic appointments
- Student attendance at a funeral service
- Quarantine imposed by a city or county health official
Unexcused absences that the school should be notified of*:
- Vacations
- Transportation issues
- Sporting Events
